have some fun....yearbook yourself

it was our month to host supperclub so we had it this past saturday night- 22 people!! thank goodness it didn't rain ;)  we decided to make it a theme so it was "bring your high school yearbook"- so fun & lots of laughs! how we all thought we were so cool when we were eighteen years old!
my friend at work told me about this great website called "yearbook yourself". i had never heard of it but i checked it out and had a blast creating funny "school pictures". you can log on & paste a face into the hair style of your choice- male or female.  the choices go from the 1950's to 2000. see below for some of the faces of the evening!  if you have never done it i highly suggest you do because it is hilarious! scroll down below to see our night of fun & laughs!

end of summer catch up

the summer has come to an end and we had a blast! it was nice being at home for the last month & not traveling. we had lots of events on the weekends- below are just a few highlights!

diving in....yes he was flying high! into the pool at Pierce's bday party.....he was the only child jumping in and making a huge splash! but that is what makes him so fun!!

with his buddy mac summerville at the party....i just wonder what they are talking about!

cupcake time!!

saying goodbye to our favorite babysitter Caroline! we will miss you sooo much!

cookout at tyler & harper's house- we actually got them all to sit still
henry scores his first kiss from harper!!!!
at the pool with Pierce for the last weekend. this was our usual spot most of the weekends.
daddy let henry help with the mow mow. he is now definitely obsessed. when you ask henry where daddy is his response will either be "golf" or "mow mow".....hhhmmm

SamDaddy

Lucy and BB checking out the cars below.
The whole family!

This past Tuesday the whole family (well, Jeff was in Seattle but there in spirit) suprised Sam by attending his suprise 40 year celebration at Parker Poe. It was fabulous and the firm did such a great job pulling it all together to honor Sam's dedication to the firm for FORTY years!

It was such a gift for me- and I love when that happens. You go thinking you are going to be there to make someone's day special and the blessings are showered on you as well. I had not been to Sam's office and it was so fun to ride with Hen and Goose in the big elevator and look out the windows (from the 31st floor)!

To me I was honored to stand up there and be part of Sam's family. It was a common theme by the partners who made remarks (Hank Hankins, Bill Farthing and Bill Porter) that Sam is passionate about his work and his family...and maybe some golf. They honored him with their words and it was incredible to realize that I am related to a man that has not only made a mark on Charlotte in his professional endeavors but is leaving a legacy to the generations ahead that family is important. His loyalty, ethics, persistance and passion for the law are held in high regard and I was and am so proud of him.
