sea island days

our sea island summer days- always so much fun! we look forward to this summer trip every year to be with the california cousins. it is always filled with days at the pool & lots of yummy meals. this year was especially fun since Henry is at an "easier" age & talking up a storm, saying silly things. the one thing that did occur over the trip- on saturday morning exactly- henry started the "WHY?" phase!!! we thought we had skipped this point in the 2 yr old stage!! we started the morning out with breakfast & then did our usual routine of heading to the beach club in the car. on the way to the pool it seemed that every sentence brett or i said was followed from henry with a "why?"!!! and it hasn't stopped in the last 3 weeks!!!
enjoy the photos below from our fun summer!!

we picked up a new sport while at the beach! i really couldn't get over how easy it was for him. summer sports camps here we come in the future years!

our long weekend

our long weekend has been filled with fun activities & packing boxes!! brett & henry have hit the golf course and the pool a couple of times & mom and I have been packing up the kitchen. i never knew how much stuff one

Hen has been having a blast lately & asking non stop questions- or should i just say it is non stop talking. He is starting to say some funny little phrases and it makes us wonder where he gets them from. of course there are some that we aren't fans of....like..."i don't like that mommy" or the best is when he doesn't want something he just answers with "nope".

the house construction is coming along & we are getting very excited about getting settled back in within the next few months. we have boxes piled to the ceiling and are about to be out of a kitchen this week so we are ready to get out of the house for a temporary move for some weeks. it sure hasn't seemed to phase little man one bit- except for his common question for when he is asking me what i am doing he just answers it with "you packin' mommy".

we hope everyone is enjoying their summer as much as we are! beach adventure pictures to come over the next month! xo

one of the first times they hit the golf course here in Charlotte together- he loved every minute
