the year in review

WOW is all i can say as i have just finished loading all of these pics onto this post. definitely a year filled with FUN!!! i can honestly say it has passed in a flash....way to fast. i want to hold on & go back & soak up every single day all over again.

we started the year out with our "little" still as a baby- and now he is this unbelievable running (not walking), jumping, talking, totally opinionated little man- our best friend.

i feel so thankful to God as i upload these photos. our family is healthy (yay MOM/HONEY- she got a great mammogram report last week), we are surrounded by so many wonderful friends, and 2010 looks like it just might KNOCK out 2009!!

thanks Kristin for the inspiration to copy you as we take a look back at the BEST OF 2009. you have all seen most of these photos but many are my favs and so i just had to share them again.

a verse (Lamentations 3: 22/23) that i came across last year that i always try to hold close to my heart:

"It is the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning; GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS"

JANUARY:

swinging & hitting the playground was a favorite activity....a quiet month

FEBRUARY:

lots of times hanging with goose to beat the cold weather

MARCH:

the sun is finally out & it started to be warm! play time!!!

high socks & diaper- the new trend

APRIL:

our favorite GIRL turns the THREE- it was the best day for a birthday party

the birthday playhouse has become a FAV

he actually dug in & loved the cupcake- he must have done it since it was his best friends bday

this month was packed! a great trip to Birmingham to see the CALI cousins

then we finally found out why we have the constant runny nose! outdoor allergies! yikes! he is definitely a WOODARD!

of course we hunted for some EGGS



AND we got our FIRST set of golf clubs- they are now permanently in the hands at all times.....phew that was a busy month!

MAY:

mom & dad were treated to a weekend getaway in palm springs to celebrate Kelly's 40th! BLAST!!!!!

we headed to FRIPP for our annual beach trip

JUNE:

april & may were so busy that we just had to sleep all of june

JULY:

yay! back to the beach! annual sea island trip with our CALI cousins

another trip to blowing rock with the liles family

and we ended the month with a pretty big BOO BOO

AUGUST:

we just wanted to stay COOL

and cheer daddy on at his golf tournament

SEPTEMBER:

we soaked up our last days at the pool- our favorite summer weekend spot

we also became masters at using the "mow mow" & decided that would be a new favorite activity

OCTOBER:

i was lucky enough to escape for the best GIRLIES weekend

then we headed on another trip up the mountain (and hopefully will become annual as well) to Linville....it ended in terrible sickness for the whole fam making it even more unforgettable

while there we still had time to PERFECT our LEFTY golf swing

NOVEMBER:

UNCLE J came home!!!!!! whooop whooop!!!!!!!!!! lots of CHIC A LAY and sweet tea!

mom, dad, uncle wood & aunt cece totally ROCKED the 80's at a birthday bash....i think we are STILL recovering from that one (other pictures are too violating to post)

we welcomed with anxious hearts OWEN into the world

and of course we celebrated the BIG TWO in style (but didn't eat a bite of cake!)

DECEMBER:

december came & it was time to work on the christmas card photo. it was VERY HARD to get one when your child only RUNS like this for an hour or makes FACES like this!

this was #2 choice for the card with a saying: don't shoot your eye out!

we tried out Santa again- still not so sure ( i would be scared too)

we sang lots of christmas carols in order to actually be STILL for a photo

then Santa came (and a birthday present late) & spoiled us rotten

we were so pooped from all the festivities that we just had to rest with our goose



BUT the NEW YEAR was approaching and we were..........

more READY than ever before!!!!!!!!!!
