Here are a couple of pics from dinner with the family tonight. Lucy and Henry did some running and Linds and I did some chasing...They really love each other- just check out the above pic- Lucy is about to squeeze him to death! Good times. Lucy's face says it all up top- can't decide if thoughts may be a)Mom put your bloomin' camera away or b) Henry is wild!! She loves chase with Hen so I am guessing it is (a). turning into Violet?

Brett has been out of town this week since Wednesday so Henry & I have been having a blast with some one on one time! Lately when it comes to meals (mainly dinner since that is the only full real meal we have with him during the day) he has become rather picky. He will go from loving chicken nuggets for a whole week to then not even touching them - so a lot of times it is a guessing game & a lot of wasted food which drives me up the wall! BUT- the one thing he does love is pancakes or breakfast food for dinner. Tonight i served up some pancakes, yogurt and then his favorite- Trader Joe's freeze dried blueberries. I promise he would eat the entire bag of these if we would let him. He loves them so much and stuffs them in his mouth asking for "mo, mo" that i really think he might turn into VIOLET from the Willy Wonka movie!! Here is a video clip from tonight when he was on his third out of four helpings of blueberries. I tried to get him to talk a little but it is hard to understand with the mouth full of food! Below is the aftermath pictures.....we had to brush the teeth for awhile!

beach time

it was another unbelievable year at Fripp Island for Memorial Weekend with almost 30 family members! you can see a taste of our fun times in the pictures below. it was actually henry's first time on the beach & he loved it. the perfect place for him- open space to run, run, and run some more! HUGE thanks to aunt sue & uncle al for entertaining us all once more & just making it better & better every year. we are counting the days till next year!

40th celebration- palm spring style

we were lucky enough to make a quick trip to palm springs, ca for kelly's 40th birthday celebration weekend! (kelly's is brett's sis) we left on a friday & came back late sunday night- lots of traveling but TOTALLY worth it!! take a look at the collage of pics above- it was absolutely incredible!! everyone stayed at the same hotel- the parker- and it was one of the coolest hotels i have ever seen. we stayed in a house on the grounds with kelly & john & that is where the saturday night dinner party was held. the tables for beautiful & the food was delicious- and kelly was surrounded by 50 of her closest friends. what more could a girl want??? she had several toasts (a great poem given by her bro), a hilarious slide show from over the years, and then ended the night with some good old dancin' with the dj! it really was 72 hours of pure fun. kel & john THANKS A TON for having us- we wouldn't have missed it!

we head to sea island for 5 days around the 4th to be with them again along with will & lilly & brett's parents. can't wait to catch up again & soak up some sun :) xoxo

somedays henry is lucky & gets to celebrate pajama day!! he wouldn't really sit still for the picture....actually he never sits still....so this is the best i could get. i always wanted my child to have that "day of school" picture but that might not happen in henry's book with the rate that those little legs move!

his first set of golf clubs- he loves them. but he really likes to carry around 2 clubs at one time so we have a little bit of work to do :)

soooo tired!!!

i never thought my wild man would be the one to fall ASLEEP in his high chair at lunch! this is how we found him on sunday and then he took a huge 3 HOUR nap!! whoop whoop!! it is only one picture for now but i promise more to come this weekend....i have lots to catch up on! things are great here in charlotte- we have just been busy! hope everyone is well & enjoying the summer! xo
