christmas 2012

opening one after another as fast as he can.....i wonder how much we actually lost in all of that wrapping paper!

miss priss learned how to dig thru the goods pretty quickly too

it was a scooter year!

and lots of fabulous jewelry! at one point she had on just about everything she could wear that she received as a gift. i couldn't keep up with the pics! santa did not do a good job with the photography this Christmas morning.

hello kitty chapsticks one the prize for the favorite gift

can't forget the stocking!

aunt kelly gave fran itty bitty baby twins.....they are now named crawford and lulu!

yes! scored a new ninjago. assembly required!

of course frannie has to get some new auburn gear too! thanks bebe and papa for my cheerleader outfit!

Christmas day in Sea Island was perfect. I loved seeing their faces as they walked in to the living room. it took them a few minutes to actually find their loot. hhmmm....for some reason santa didn't wrap our presents but he wrapped will & lilly's!?!?! good thing no one really caught on!
this year really was great. they were both very in to it & it was the first question out of their mouth that morning "did santa come???".  the magic is truly alive with these little feet in the house. i just hope it stays like this for awhile because they make it feel so real!

the morning of....total excitement for santa at the beach

this past Christmas we hit the road and tripped it to Sea Island for Christmas. thank goodness Santa knows about UPS and Fed Ex.  Amazon and Target online were his best friend! the car was filled & off we went on the 22nd for 5 days at the beach.  celebrating Shuhda style is always fun! Lots of yummy meals and presents galore! Will & Lilly are always a great help with the kids. It was especially nice this year since Fran took a liking to miss lilly.  more time for mom & dad!
the photos above were all taken at the Cloister at Sea Island on the days leading up to Christmas. we had some great meals that week and I was so proud of the kids for actually making it through the long dinners. Lots of coloring and bribing with food but whatever works, right? Christmas day photos up next!

hfb is five!

henry:: 5 years old
birthday party at Lazy Five Ranch

charlie, henry, henry, pierce, & parker
Brett and I loaded up the car with these 5 crazies and headed to the Lazy Five for a cold afternoon of wild animals! Henry's one requirement for his friends was for them to all wear their football jerseys. It was a super cold day but the boys still had a great time on the wagon feeding all the animals. Of course the conversations were priceless. I just wish I had a video camera of the event!

i love this kid. he became besties with the two ladies in the front of the wagon.

great shot of dad & hen

at home blowing out our five candles on our panthers jersey cake!

the morning of his actual birthday. probably right around the exact time he was born.  aunt kelly from san fran shipped over an ipad mini. i guess you could say it was his favorite gift.

it quickly became sissy's favorite gift too

celebrating at school with cupcakes with classmates

AND another celebration....at home with all the cousins. walt was ready for it to be his turn :)

the best babysitter in town! (emmett 2 months)

last dose of sugar....this time neighborhood cupcakes! i think we covered all of the sweet categories!

just a glimpse of what it is like around our house!

Happy Happy Birthday buddy! You fill us up more and more each day. I think you have the BIGGEST heart of any 5 year old!! Your words are always the sweetest. At five you are loving every sport possible, really getting in to art, and currently have a huge obsession with legos and ninjagos. Thank you for teaching us so much about love & grace.  Our hearts are full because of you!

lucy:: 7

henry:: 5

frannie:: 2

walt:: almost 2

well hello again! thanks to instagram the blog has been on the back burner. so sorry but i need to get back in the act of updating the blog-- especially since i am trying to use this as a way to document them as they grow up. i have lots and lots of catching up to do which i am hoping to do this week on here but totally not promising. i don't want to skip out on any events we have had over the past 1/2 year so i need to get workin!' the kids are still growing like weeds and keeping us busy & laughing every step of the way. i was lucky to have all 4 of them yesterday for a couple hours and we somehow got a few streams of sunshine in all of this wet weather. they loved being outside and soakin' up the sun.
hopefully back in the saddle this week with lots more to post! xo

we loaded up in the radio flyer and walked to the end of the street for our tree today! i love this tradition we have of walking a few houses down. not too far at all & the kids love it! i still can't believe it is november and we are decorated!

fun games of peek-a-boo in the trees

running back home & excited to decorate

all clean and ready for bed after watching the Elf on the Shelf movie.  totally puts Henry in the mood for "Elvis" to make his appearance.  hhmmmm....when will that be? on his birthday maybe??

i couldn't resist

these were just too cute from this morning. i have told myself i need to get my camera out more often instead of filling up my iphone.  it is beautiful today and the perfect time to snap a few while they were both doing some of their favorite things.

carrying her snack....that is probably the first word she learned! this girl and her snacks. she will eat hers and everyone else's!

now this is exactly how i picture him when i think of him.  that little smirk on his face is too cute. if his momma would let him wear a jersey every day he would be in heaven.  of course when he was younger i thought he will never wear jerseys! this is one of those battles i just can't fight! the football is in his hand for just about every waking moment at home.

two toe heads in november. please don't grow up!
