12, 12 & 12 (well, almost)

my girl....she is 12 weeks, 12 pounds and yes we hit 12 hours!!! (well almost 12) Yee-haw!! Momma is happy!!! The past three nights she has gone down around 7:30 & slept till 6:45 or so. I was thinking it wasn't going to happen for another 2 or 3 weeks but she proved me wrong....and i am so glad she did!

She really is changing so fast right before our eyes. She is smiling all the time & just talkin' up a storm. She is starting to really like the bouncy seat & getting to be a pro at tummy time. It makes me sad to be away from her most of the day but it melts my heart when i walk into school to pick her up & she gives me a big grin.

a quick two months

it's month TWO. hard to believe. here they are all cleaned up & ready for bed tonight. fran had half a feeding in her so she is plump & happy. still growing like a weed (11 lbs 7 ozs) & per the dr just looking perfect. she did awesome at her 2 month appt. she got her two shots & only cried out for a few seconds- no tears yet. later that day at school she sure did take a good solid 2 hour nap so i think they kind of wiped her out. her zantac has really seemed to kick in & is working very well so we have a much happier little girl. nighttime wise we are improving but of course not as quickly as mommy would like :). majority of the nights she does a good 7 to 8 hour stretch from when she goes down for the night so only up once - i really can't complain but i sure do look forward to those 12 hour nights! honey is coming tonight as the free night nurse so i might not even have to get up! whoop whoop!

weekend life is still an adjustment with having two kiddos. both of us are always entertaining one or the other so down time is not really existent ......until today! we got them both down for naps within 15 mins of each other & they each slept straight for 2 hours! i was able to read an ENTIRE magazine & fill up on my blog stalking.....such a treat. let's just cross our fingers this can be a regular occurrence.

we celebrated honey's birthday at ccc the other weekend with breakfast. finally- a picture with all three! happy birthday to our honey- we wouldn't be surviving without you!! love you sooo much!

school days

i was able to take some time away from miss fran & head to henry's class for their valentine's party where they all got loaded up with sugar!!!! i only took a few pics & just thought i would post this one of his best bud henry brand and his girlfriend leigh thomas. anytime we tell henry we are going to do something or go somewhere he always wants to make sure henry brand is going to be there too. they are totally joined at the hip!! he has always had his eye on leigh thomas but she is a pretty popular girl! lately we have noticed she seems to go for his buddy Will more than henry-- he is gonna have to step it up!

miss fran has had a big week! she went to school every day for a few hours to just test it out. i was so worried mainly because i didn't think she would sleep on her back & of course she did! they always do anything for anyone else- right? but really- the teachers say she seems to be adjusting well which makes me feel so good. (on another note- the other day her two teachers totally amazed me....i was getting fran settled in to class & all 7 of the other babies were up & all starting to get a little fussy. within 1 minute those two girls had all of them down in their cribs & their eyes were closed & they were all sleeping!! unbelievable- it was awesome! they are pros!)

countdown of 10 days till i go back to work. i can't believe it. REALITY is really about to set in......yikes!

still growin'

we went for an extra dr visit today.....miss priss has a little case of reflux so we are on zantac (yay!). thank goodness because i knew something was going on & we had to get it figured out. sunday & monday she decided to go on a nursing strike- NOT FUN! come to find out it was because of her tummy so hopefully now we are headed back on the right track. of course while i was there i had to throw her on the scale.....girlfriend is still improving! up to 10 lbs 4 ozs (the 10-6 is with diaper and clothes on).

she will start going to school for a few hours a day starting next week & i already have anxiety about it so say some prayers for us!!

1 month plus 2

yes.....this is how we roll these days....totally behind & late! it is hard to time it right to get a picture of two of them together when the little girl sleeps constantly! we finally accomplished the small task this weekend so this is her "1 month" picture but plus 2 weeks!

at her 1 month doctor visit she got a great report. little girl is packin' on the pounds! she left the hospital weighing in at 6 lbs 8 oz and at 1 month she added up to 9lbs 4 ozs! she is in the 50 percentile for her weight, 75 percentile for height and 75 percentile for her head. that made for some happy parents!

her sleeping habits have started to improve this week which has helped me tremendously. i still won't say i feel totally energized when i wake up in the mornings but at least i know she can do those long stretches. let's just cross our fingers they get even longer in the next 2 weeks for when i head back to work! otherwise i might be ordering the wrong color fabrics!!!

i was doing wild mans laundry the other day & was putting away all his pants when i decided i had to snap a photo of them just to show him proof one day. he is ALL BOY. it might be hard to see but if you look closely every single pair of these pants have holes in them in the knees. pretty much almost every pair he owns has holes in them OR they are thinning at the knees and about to rip open. i guess it is just a sign that he likes to have fun & is tough!
